File → Version History

You can name different versions - click bookmark and name
Revert to different versions
Unnamed versions delete after 30 days

Touch Control Basics

There is a circle on the screen to help you control your selections similar to a mouse or keyboard controls
Center of circle is like using the Shift key on keyboard
Touch the circle in the center, drag your finger out, and it is like using the Option key on keyboard

Duplicate Items Using Touch Controls

Select the item with Apple Pencil, touch the circle in the middle (like using the shift key), and use pencil to drag to duplicate

Resizing Using Touch Controls

Shift - constrains size (center of circle)
Option - resizes from center (touch center and drag out)

Path Finder

Looks like three boxes overlapping at an angle
Gives you a preview of what shape builder will do with whatever is selected (instead of just guessing)

Shape Builder Tool

This tool is inside of Path Finder
Select all pieces
Click Shape Builder
Tapping on a line deletes it
Drawing a line through separate parts with Apple Pencil combines them into one
Click Done at the top

Pen Tool

When you want a 90º angle (or anything other than a straight line) hold shift (inside circle) and drag handle in on that side of anchor point

Copy Fill & Stroke

Select one section
Click on Edit ✂︎ → Copy Appearance
Click where you want to paste

Choose to copy fill color, stroke color, character style, paragraph style

Add & Edit Text

Click T, tap once, type in text
Change font sizes in menu on side
Variable fonts (tT) can change and customize
(T with outlines) Click to outline fonts, type on path and edit path
